Falkland Islands Association Chairman visits the Falkland Islands 2025

In October and November, FIA Chairman Russell La Forte and his wife Gillian, returned to visit the Falkland Islands for the first time since their departure in 2015 when he handed over as CBFSAI. At the end of their 3-week visit, Russell said ‘Change is inevitable, and despite a number of developments in Stanley in the past 10 years and the promise of more to come, the most significant and reassuring continuity was the quintessential character of the Islands and the Falkland Islanders, the stark, breathtaking beauty of the former, and the warmth, humour, hospitality, confidence and resilience of the latter. Long may it continue and …. Desire the Right’.
