SS Great Britain 50th Anniversary: The Albatross - 17 May 2020
The Falkland Islands Association is most grateful to the Falkland Islands Museum and National Trust for the dontation of the Albatross for the SS Great Britain 50th Anniversary Exhibition. Steve Massam, their Chief Taxidermist, has used his exemplary talents to produce this piece, it should be noted that the Albatross died of natural causes.
The RAF have kindly agreed to transport it when scheduling and current circumstances allow and we are very grateful.
Thanks, also, to Sylvia Allen for allowing household redecoration to facilitate the photography session.
The Association welcomes new members who support the continuing freedom of the people of Falkland Islands. Just click the tab below to learn about the different levels of membership that are available in the UK and overseas.
